Welcome to the City of Sarasota's Building, Zoning & Code Compliance Department's Code Compliance information page.
From this page, you can file a new complaint or check the
status of a complaint (either by site address or by web transaction
number). This page also provides links to important information
about the codes of the City of Sarasota, and what is expected
of good neighbors throughout our city.
Our mission is to assure the health, safety and general welfare
of our residents. We strive to investigate complaints quickly
and thoroughly, to police our neighborhoods and commercial
areas constantly and to apply the codes consistently and fairly.
Through enforcement of local codes and standards, we help
facilitate an attractive, clean, and aesthetically pleasing
City and we work hard to help keep the City of Sarasota "the
best small city in the country" as designated by Money
Magazine (and by most of our citizens).
