CEO
(Community
Entrepreneur Opportunity) Business-training Program
_______
The
CEO Business-training Program was launched for entrepreneurs
in the Newtown Enterprise Zone area who are starting or improving
their businesses. It provides core instruction in a 12-week
session to produce a business plan in class time and with
one-on-one assistance. The CEO program is a project directed
by the Sarasota County/City of Sarasota Enterprise Zone Development
Agency Advisory Board as part of its strategic plan.
Classes
are held at "no cost" to entrepreneurs thanks to
generous sponsorship by Comerica Bank. Entrepreneurs who complete
the program are eligible to apply for CEO micro loan funds.
SunTrust Bank provided the initial support for the loan guaranty
fund.
CEO is a project of the City of Sarasota/Sarasota County Enterprise
