DID Main Street Improvement Project Information

The Downtown Improvement District (DID) Board of Directors has been working to develop a plan for improvements to the Main Street streetscape. Proposed changes have grown from a series of public meetings including direct participation by Downtown owners, residents and merchants. Several options have been developed and the DID is in the process of determining cost allocations for each of the options. The DID hopes to narrow down the recommendations within the next 30 days and will be making a presentation at a future City Commission meeting. The plans are being made to increase aesthetic quality downtown, widen crosswalks to increase walkability, and to better identify the downtown Historic District.
