Five Points Roundabout Project

The completion of these projects will enhance the downtown by providing ample parking, safer and more walkable streets, and beautification of the area. The City of Sarasota along with the Community Redevelopment Agency, is investing $14-million that will create a downtown destination. The five point intersection of Main Street, Pineapple Avenue and Central Avenue will be reconstructed as a modern roundabout. From Palm Avenue to the roundabout at Pineapple Avenue and Main Street, a 50 year old 8” water main will be replaced with 10” water line.
