The Sarasota Afforable Housing Advisory Committee was established for the purposes of reviewing the established policies and procedures, ordinances, land development regulations and adopted local government comprehensive plan. The committee may also recommend specific actions or initiatives to encourage or facilitate afforable housing while protecting the ability of the property to appreciate in value. The committee consists of 11 members appointed by the City Commission who have met certain specified seat requirements connected to affordable housing.
