EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT ACCOUNT COMMITTEE

Provides oversight of the Defined Contribution (DC) Plan and makes recommendations regarding such matters as: the terms and conditions of the DC Plan; the administration of the DC Plan; the concerns, suggestions and claims of Participants; and the parameters governing investments. The committee includes the City Auditor and Clerk, who serves as Secretary; the director of the Finance Department, who serves as Treasurer; two individuals appointed by the City Commission (preferably with trust banking or investment management experience) and one individual that is appointed by a majority of the other four committee members (preferably a Participant of the Plan). Meetings are generally held quarterly.
