Establishment: Florida Statute, Section 421.05
Board Membership – Qualifications and Other Requirements:
a) Unless provided otherwise, the members of the Board shall include persons who reside within the City, unless business qualifications or a special expertise warrants an exception to the residency/ property ownership criteria. At least one member shall be a resident, current in rent, of a housing project or a person receiving a rent subsidy through the Housing Authority.
b) Members should have reputations for integrity and community service, as well as have demonstrated an interest in the type of activity pertaining to the purpose of the Board. Members should also be representative of the community-at-large and reflect the racial, ethnic and cultural makeup of the community.
c) Financial Disclosure Forms are required by State law.
d) Mayor makes the appointment from submitted applications confirmed by the City Commission.
e) Members serve a four year term. Any vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired portion of that term by an appointment by the Mayor with the approval of the City commission within 60 days after such vacancy occurs.

Meetings occur on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, at 5:00 p.m. at McCowan Towers – 1300 Boulevard of the Arts.
