TO AIR SARASOTA’S FIRST
PUBLIC HOUSING CONFERENCE

Sarasota, FL: Access Sarasota, the government access channel for the City of Sarasota and Sarasota County, will provide live coverage of Sarasota’s first Public Housing Conference on Friday, March 14, 2008 beginning at 2:00pm. The event is sponsored by the resident councils of Sarasota’s subsidized housing complexes.

The conference will feature presentations by national speakers, including the former Deputy Assistant Secretary for HUD, the Director of Resident Services from Washington, D.C.’s Housing Authority and the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Union of Public Housing Tenants, Inc. Topics will include resident councils, housing regulations, tenants’ rights and services for residents.

The morning session of the conference will be videotaped and the entire day’s event will be shown on Access Sarasota at a later date. For Access Sarasota program schedule information, visit www.sarasotagov.com.
