TREE CONFERENCE INCLUDES
EXERCISES AT BAYFRONT PARK

Sarasota, FL:  Two outdoor tree classes will be held at Bayfront Park as part of the Trees Florida 2009 Conference & Trade Show hosted by the City of Sarasota, along with Sarasota County, Mon., June 15 and Tues., June 16, 2009.   The classes will involve demonstrations on tree climbing and tree removal techniques.  Between 30 and 35 conference attendees are expected to participate in the classes each day.  Spectators are welcome.

The schedule includes:

Mon., June 15:  Tree climbing (8am – 5pm)
Tues.  June 16:  Tree removal  (8am – 3pm)

A large ficus tree, located approximately 200 – 300 feet northwest of the Steigerwaldt-Jockey Children’s Fountain, will be used for the tree climbing exhibition Mon., June 15th 8am – 5pm.  Conference participants also will remove a declining Hong Kong orchid tree, just east of the tree used for the climbing exercise, Tues., June 16th 8am – 3pm.
