Sarasota, FL: The City of Sarasota is seeking individuals who are interested in their community to serve on City Commission Advisory Boards. Six Advisory Boards with a total of 11 seats are now open:
Citizens with Disabilities Advisory Board:
- One vacancy with no seat requirement
Downtown Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board:
- One vacancy for an owner of land used for commercial purposes in the downtown redevelopment area (see map)
- One vacancy for an individual involved in construction development in the downtown redevelopment area (see map)
- One vacancy for a retailer or merchant in the downtown redevelopment area(see map)
Human Relations Board:
- One vacancy with no seat requirement
Newtown Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board:
- One vacancy for a resident of the redevelopment area (see map)
- One vacancy for a retailer or merchant in the redevelopment area (see map)
Nuisance Abatement Board:
- Three vacancies with no seat requirement
Public Art Committee:
- One vacancy for an architect
All positions are voluntary and are appointed by the City Commission of the City of Sarasota.
