INFORMATION

Sarasota, FL: Voters throughout the State of Florida will head to the polls in less than three weeks to vote on proposed Amendment One, the proposed property tax reform measure. You can learn more about proposed Amendment One, including what it would do and how it would impact you and your community, by visiting the City of Sarasota homepage: www.sarasotagov.com . “It’s one-stop shopping for voters who are doing their homework about Amendment One,” said Public Information Officer Jan Thornburg. “The City’s website provides information about the elements of the proposal, as well as the financial impact it would have on the City’s budget if approved by voters,” said Thornburg.

The website also provides information about two upcoming community forums, where Amendment One will be the featured topic. Links are also available to many other organizations, including the Florida League of Cities, which are providing detailed information about Amendment One.

Proposed Amendment One is on the statewide ballot Tues., January 29, 2008.
