CRA TO RESCHEDULE
PALM AVENUE DECISION
Sarasota, FL: The Community Redevelopment
Agency (CRA), which was scheduled on Mon., March 5, 2007
to select a developer for the redevelopment of city owned
property fronting Palm Avenue, will reschedule that decision.
Due to the anticipated length of discussion (possibly 4-5
hours), the Palm Avenue agenda item will be rescheduled
as a special CRA meeting as soon as possible. The public
will be notified when a date and time are selected.
On Thurs., February 22, 2007, the Community Redevelopment
Agency Advisory Board (CRAAB) ranked four developers
for the proposed project in the following order:
1. Benderson Development Company
2. Florida Main Street LLC
3. Roskamp & Patterson
4. John Buck Company & The Leiter Group
During the upcoming special CRA meeting, the CRA will hear
public input, discuss the CRAAB’s recommendation,
and decide which proposer will redevelop the city owned
property on Palm Avenue.
