Sarasota, FL: The Steigerwaldt-Jockey Children’s Fountain, located within Bayfront Park, is closed temporarily for chemical testing and possible maintenance.
A routine water quality test indicated the presence of fecal matter within the water sample. The City of Sarasota is working closely with the Sarasota County Health Department to ensure and protect safe water quality standards at the fountain.
It is anticipated the fountain will reopen next week. To check on the reopening, call the Children’s Fountain hotline: 941-954-4101 ext. 5254.
