CITY HALL CLOSES
FOR CHRISTMAS AND
NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAYS


Sarasota, FL: City of Sarasota administration offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24th through Friday, Dec. 26th, 2008. The closing affects City Hall, the Federal Building and Public Works. All offices will reopen Monday, Dec. 29th.

City Hall will also be closed on January 1, 2009 but will reopen on Jan. 2nd.

The schedule for solid waste and recycling collection will be as follows:

There will be no garbage pickup on Thurs., Dec. 25th. Recycling, yard waste and bulk waste will be collected on Fri., Dec. 26th and Sat., Dec. 27th.

Likewise, no trash will be picked up on New Year’s Day. Recyclables will be collected on Friday, Jan. 2nd and Sat., Jan. 3rd. The normal collection schedule will resume on Jan. 5th.
