CITY HALL CLOSES FOR HOLIDAYS

Sarasota, FL: City of Sarasota administration offices will be closed Thurs., Dec. 24th and Friday, Dec. 25th, 2009. The closing affects City Hall, the Federal Building and Public Works. All offices will reopen Monday, Dec. 28th.

City Hall will also be closed on January 1, 2010 but will reopen on Jan. 4th.

The schedule for solid waste and recycling collection will be as follows:

There will be no garbage pickup on Fri., Dec. 25th. Garbage collection will resume on the next scheduled pickup day, Tues., Dec. 29th. Recycling, yard waste and bulk waste will be collected on Sat., Dec. 26th.

Likewise, no trash will be picked up on New Year’s Day. The normal garbage collection schedule will resume on Jan. 5th. Recyclables will be collected on Sat., Jan. 2nd.
