NYC OFFICIAL DISCUSSES AFFORDABLE HOUSING WITH
CITY COMMISSIONERS
Sarasota - Shaun Donovan, Commissioner of
the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and
Development, will discuss affordable housing issues with
the Sarasota City Commission at a workshop Wed., March
7, 2007 from 9:30am to 11:00am. The workshop will be held
in the City Commission Chambers within City Hall, 1565
First Street. Public input will not be permitted.
Affordable housing continues to be a top priority for
the City Commission. During the January 16, 2007 City Commission
meeting, Vice Mayor Danny Bilyeu mentioned that Commissioner
Donovan would be in Sarasota on March 7th for a business
luncheon. Arrangements were then made to bring Mr. Donovan
before the City Commission to learn from his expertise
on affordable housing.
