CITY INVITES ADDITIONAL INPUT
ON PROPOSED MOORING FIELD

Sarasota, FL: The public is invited to participate in a public meeting regarding a proposed mooring field along the bayfront Tues., November 20, 2007 at 6pm in the City Commission Chambers located within City Hall, 1565 First Street.

The City Commission recently requested additional public input on the issue. Anyone interested in speaking is welcome and should plan to attend the meeting. City staff familiar with the proposal, including the Deputy City Manager, the City Attorney, the City Engineer and a representative from the Sarasota Police Department, will be present and prepared to answer questions from the public. “This essentially is a continuation of the recent public hearing. Whoever wants to weigh in and have their thoughts heard should do so at this meeting,” said Deputy City Manager V. Peter Schneider.

City staff will summarize the input received at the meeting, and provide a report to the City Commission on December 17, 2007.
