Sarasota, FL:  The City of Sarasota will continue its discussion about paid on-street parking with another meeting Thurs., April 2, 2009 8:30am – 10am in the Commission Chambers located in City Hall, 1565 First Street.  The public is encouraged to attend.

This meeting will focus on meter technology. Parking Manager Susan Dodd will discuss the differences between single space and multiple space parking meters; parking options (eg:  coins, credit cards, cell phone payments); and ‘pay and display’ technology versus ‘pay by space’.

The discussion groups are meeting monthly to talk about moving toward paid on-street parking in downtown Sarasota.  Although all meeting dates and times have not been scheduled yet, by joining the City of Sarasota email notification list, you will receive an electronic invitation to each meeting.  To register visit:     http://www.egovlink.com/sarasota/subscriptions/subscribe.asp
