Sarasota, FL: Adults will have their own time to enjoy the Sarasota Skate Park beginning Sat., August 1, 2009 when the Park will be open for adults only on Saturday nights
8:15 pm – 10:15 pm weather permitting. To participate, skaters must be at least 18 years old, wear a helmet and sign a waiver to skate. The admission fee will be $10. Skate Park passes will not be valid for adult skate nights.
Approximately 25-30% of the skaters who use the Skate Park are adults. In the past, an adults only skate time was considered, and the idea resurfaced recently when an adult patron inquired about reserving time just for older skaters.
Beginning August 22nd, if there are fewer than ten paid adult skaters at the Skate Park at
9:15 pm, the Park will close and skaters will receive a $5 due bill for future use.
Summer hours for all skaters are noon to 8 pm through August 23rd weather permitting. Anyone with a signed waiver can skate all day for $8 or $30 for a six month pass. Helmets are required and pads are encouraged.
