WATER QUALITY REPORT
NOW AVAILABLE

Sarasota, FL:  The 2008 annual Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report, shows that the City of Sarasota’s drinking water meets all health and safety standards established by federal and state regulatory agencies.  The report is based on the monitoring period January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008.  To view it click here.  The report also will be mailed to residents this month.

The annual report is mandated by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Environmental Protection Agency regarding the quality of the drinking water produced at the City’s reverse osmosis water treatment facility.  The report includes a brief description of the City’s raw water sources, treatment processes, potential contaminants found in the drinking water and a table of water quality results.  Details are also provided as to where your water comes from and how it is processed.

For more information about the 2008 annual Water Quality Report, contact the Public Works Department:  941-955-2325.
