Experience:
• Richard Dorfman was born in New York City, raised in northern New Jersey and educated in Washington, D.C. He graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Business.
• Before moving to Sarasota, Richard worked in the sports and entertainment industry for nearly thirty years. He served as the Director of Broadcasting for the N.B.A. and represented some of the world’s greatest sporting occasions such as, the FIFA Soccer World Cup, Wimbledon, and Rugby World Cup for their worldwide television distribution. He served as a regular contributor to CNN International and CNBC, reporting on major sports related business stories.
• An avid art collector and sportsman, Richard resides in District 1 of the City of Sarasota.
