Bicycle Program

The City of Sarasota Engineering Department strives to offer residents and visitors access to an integrated bicycle network consisting of lanes and paths which take you from home to neighboring communities, shops, dining, local parks, and work.

It is both our challenge and responsibility to actively promote bicycle awareness through education and the availability of exceptional bicycle amenities.

We are hard at work on a long-term bicycle facilities master plan. This plan will offer, among other amenities, new on-road lanes and off-road lanes as well as signage that will better connect the existing network.
