Stay focused on the customer. Anticipate internal and external customer needs and create products and services that support the City’s operation. Adopt the customer’s mindset to solve problems and make decisions. Explore and implement new and innovative methods; creatively leveraging services and resources.

Practices/Behaviors:

  • Ensures a clear understanding of customer needs, acts towards those needs and communicates when the work is completed
  • Negotiates and agrees upon expected results
  • Monitors status of work in progress and takes appropriate action
  • Follows through with customers to monitor their level of satisfaction
  • Meets with both customers and team members to collect information and resolve issues
