Anthony was presented

on Monday, March 15, 2010

Anthony Becich was hired November 30, 2008 as Finance Manager for the Van Wezel Performing Arts hall. He has since taken on a number of responsibilities and has handled them in the most professional manner. He puts every effort into whatever task is given him. The staff of the Van Wezel has come to realize that Tony will always help anyone. He is a true professional. He is kind when he needs to be, firm when he has to be and polite all the time.

Coming from the private sector, Tony was able to learn the City’s Financial Management System very quickly and has also developed a strong working relationship with the IT and Finance Departments in a short period of time.

One of the responsibilities assigned to Tony is to manage the Van Wezel Gift Shop which he has taken on with a special flair. Revenue is up and our regular patrons have come to expect new and interesting items to be available for purchase each time they arrive for a performance.

Tony’s organizational skills are very obvious. He has streamlined the details of recording revenue and expenses for a better means of gathering information when needed.

He deserves to be named Employee of the Month and recognized for the wonderful job he does both as a City employee and a valued Van Wezel staff member. Tony serves the City with excellence and pride! Congratulations!
