Janice
Cox, Process Improvement Analyst, PW, is a key member of the
Public Works/City team who works every day to make the department
and the City more efficient and effective. During her 20 plus
years of employment with the City, Janice has developed the
reputation as a can-do team player. She is knowledgeable in
all aspects of department and City administrative policies
and procedures.
As a Process Improvement Analyst, Janice has taken the lead
role in reviewing and analyzing critical business processes
within the department to ensure they are efficient, cost effective
and delivering the best results. As Project Manager for process
improvement reviews she has overseen the planning, development
and implementation of new fully automated Equipment Maintenance
“cartegraph” billing, repair & parts orders
system and cost accounting system. Also with the recent consolidation
of citywide building and facilities maintenance within the
Public Works Department, she implemented the new Automated
Maintenance Management System for service requests that can
generate maintenance requests for most city buildings.
Other examples of her initiatives and excellent work include
planning, implementing and managing the department’s
service tracker and job costs system, solid waste complaint
tracking system, solid waste recycling routing analyses, solid
waste commercial routing and billing tracking software. She
also shared her expertise and worked with the IT Department
to review the NDS business processes. Congratulations!
