Jaymi
Delcos, PO 1st Class, is an employee who takes charge and
is proud to serve our City. Officer Delcos began her career
as an Associate Clerk at the City of Sarasota Police Department
in 1998. She returned as a Police Officer 2nd Class in 1999.
Currently, Jaymi serves as a Detective and has been the Domestic
Violence Coordinator for the past two years.
During this time Jaymi has developed a comprehensive curriculum
and taught classes to audiences both large and small. She
has interacted with laymen and professionals to include victims,
counselors, victim advocates, law enforcement personnel and
attorneys.
Reviews and follow up procedures include arrests on approximately
1,000 domestic violence cases. Additionally,
she has had the unenviable task of developing and managing
an annual budget of $140,000.
Detective Delcos is a consummate professional who cares more
about the victim than individual recognition. Her assignments
also involve her in homicide, property and white collar crime
cases. She takes ownership in assigned zones and prepares
all reports in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
Detective Jaymi Delcos serves the City of Sarasota Police
Department and the community with excellence and pride.
