Jan
Wiercinski, has been an employee with the City of Sarasota for five
years and is currently a Crew Leader II with a staff of five Traffic
Signal Technicians. His division of Public Works is responsible
for all maintenance of City owned traffic signals and street lights.
Jan is always eager to lend assistance to citizens, neighborhoods
and fellow employees. His positive attitude and willingness to get
the job done has been praised with positive comments from neighborhood
associations, businesses and other City departments.
Jan Wiercinski uses his expertise and knowledge of the electrical
layout within our city limits, to partner on projects with FP&L,
City and County departments, developers, Verizon, Comcast, special
events projects and homeowners.
In addition to Jan’s exemplary customer service skills he
is known as one of the most technically proficient electrical technicians.
Continuous, positive feedback from our residents, developers and
special event sponsors has been brought to the attention of the
Public Works director many times. Most recently, the Christmas tree
and decorations at St. Armand’s, Main Street and Martin Luther
King Blvd., are just the latest in a long line of achievements that
were done on time, and within budget in addition to the everyday
duties performed by Jan and his crew.
As a Crew Leader II, Jan provides supervision and support to his
electrical crew as well as dedicating his time to many projects.
Because of his exemplary performance and initiative towards his
job and the community, Jan brings credit to the City of Sarasota.
