Donald Hawkins, provides consistent, high quality work and
contributes to the overall enhancement of an antiquated water
system. He is a major contributor to the utility staff that
has been working to improve the piping system by increasing
flow rates, removal of asbestos pipe, galvanize piping, and
increasing fire protections which gives better service to
our customers. He also helps to minimize complaints and safety
related issues as he attends to his job responsibilities.
The quality of work Don puts forward is exceptional. He is
very cooperative with others and is quick to offer help. New
employees feel more comfortable on the job as Don takes the
initiative to coach them about the distribution system.
Many of Don’s accomplishments have included Florida
DOT Maintenance of Traffic Intermediate, the University of
Florida Asbestos OSHA Class II Special Operations Cement Piping
course, and the National Safety Council’s Coaching the
Utility Truck Driver Course.
Donald Hawkins is a professional that demonstrates a high
value for effective and efficient utility operations. This
long term employee has shown dedication, consistency, and
faithfulness, in areas that are very important to this department
and our organization. Mr. Hawkins truly serves our community
