Sue
Martin, BJGC, came to the City of Sarasota in 2005 as Assistant
Manager at the Ed Smith Stadium. Immediately she adjusted
to the time demands of the job with a cheerful attitude.
Not only was Susan actively a part of Ed Smith Stadium, she
also embraced the small group of City workers at the Skate
Park. Her quality of requested reports has provided critical
information to further the cause of the department. She has
streamlined the reporting procedure of the Skate Park and
the Children’s Fountain
personnel operation. She is very aware of how critical teamwork
is to any operation and provides an excellent example to her
subordinates, co-workers and the public.
Recently, Sue stepped into the role of General Manager at
the Bobby Jones Golf Complex. Her productivity has increased
as she gains job knowledge.
She has demonstrated that once she grasps the intricacies
of a particular task or operation, she then uses her past
knowledge and experience to propose a more efficient approach.
She has taken on a greater responsibility in the planning
and development of the major special events such as the AAU,
FHSAA Tournaments and the Sarasota Blues Fest. Within the
golf course arena, she has performed well in the new; challenging
environment.
Susan is very well organized and operates well under high
pressure. She has taken on frequent last minute assignments
and continues to maintain a managerial presence with staff
at the Skate Park and the Children’s Fountain. Sue Martin
serves her community with excellence and pride!
