  CREDIT UNION

The Credit Union is an organization of City employees and members of their immediate family who pool their resources for their common good. The purpose of the Credit Union is to promote thrift and savings and to provide loans to its members at reasonable rates of interest. The Credit Union operates not for profit but for service to its members.

The Credit Union is regulated by the State. Deposits in the Credit Union are insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration.

  DEFERRED COMPENSATION

Deferred Compensation is money you deposit from your salary into a plan that is not subject to current federal income tax. Also, the earnings on these deposits are tax deferred. Three separate firms administer the Deferred Compensation Program and manage employee assets for the City of Sarasota.
