Our Police Department continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of our communities and our citizens, in order to provide a safe and secure environment to live and work. Today, the Sarasota Police Department has over 260 sworn and civilian members.
Our Department continues to be community-oriented, encouraging citizen involvement in preventing and reducing crime. As part of our on-going effort to increase community awareness, we offer  this website to provide enhanced access to our agency. This site will provide information on personal safety, protecting property, preventing crime, wanted suspects, news releases, and more.
