within the City of Sarasota to provide safe access for pedestrian,
bicycle and motor vehicle traffic as well as coordinates placement
of underground and overhead utilities. Public rights-of-way
include streets, alleys, parkways, sidewalks, medians, curbs
and gutters and drainage facilities. Street and sidewalk closures,
construction activities and utility work affecting public

to minimize interruptions to the flow of pedestrian and vehicle
traffic. This Division also regulates Valet Parking programs
within the City and issues valet permits.
