Sarasota Rotary Club volunteers placed the Rain Barrel Demonstration project at City Hall. The rain water will be used to water several potted plants, existing beds and areas where a sprinkler is currently used. The educational component will serve to teach residents how to make a rain barrel collection at home in an easy step by step process. Signage will be placed to direct people to the site and to describe the project. The project was donated by the Rotary Club of Sarasota, Eco-Essentials and Artisan Signs. Over $800.00 in in-kind labor, material, and design services made the project possible. Take a look at the project outside City Hall on 1st Street.
