Sarasota County
Sewer Connection Program

 

Sarasota County is offering a 3.07% interest deferred payment loan to pay for capacity and connection fees and associated costs for hooking up to Sarasota County's central water and/or sewer services when mandated under Sarasota County code, Section 126-58. Repayment is not required until the property is sold, transferred, no longer owner-occupied, or 20 years. An existing homeowner seeking water and/or sewer hookup assistance for their primary residence cannot exceed $200,000. If the property has an accessory dwelling, the value may not exceed $240,000. The homeowner selects the contractor that will do the work. Please contact the Sarasota Office of Housing and Community Development at 941-951-3640.

Homeowners unable to qualify for OHCD assistance to connect to the Sarasota County Utility System may be able to receive a low interest loan from the Sarasota Utility Department. Information on that program may be found below.
