The Planning Board (also known
as the Local Planning Agency).
An Advisory Board to the City
Commission, the Planning Board was established to approve/deny development
applications such as site plans and to provide recommendations to the
City Commission on land use changes such as rezones, conditional uses,
and comprehensive plan changes.
Meetings
are held the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm in the City
Commission Chambers.

The Historic Preservation Board.
An Advisory Board to the City
Commission established to provide recommendations regarding the
designation of historically significant structures and archaeologically
significant sites to the City Commission. The Board also can recommend
the designation of historically significant districts, approve
applications for demolition and moving permits, and review
recommendations for local properties being referred to the National
Register of Historic Places.
Meetings
are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at 3:00 pm in the City
Commission Chambers.

The Public
Art Committee.
An Advisory Board to
the City Commission established to review and approve proposals for the
provision of public art or public works of art; and advising the City
Commission regarding the acquisition, placement and display of works of
art. The Committee also serves as a liaison between the City and persons
or organizations who wish to donate art to the citizens of this
community.
Meetings are held on
the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00 P.M.

The Community
Redevelopment Advisory Board (CRAAB).
An Advisory Board that
is the primary source of community input to the CRA Agency and to Agency
staff. The Board’s functions are advisory only and are to assist
with the public input in the local redevelopment planning process.
Meetings are held on
the last Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the City Commission
Chambers.
