Sarasota, FL: The public is invited to attend a free fitness facility open house at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 34th Street, Sunday, March 4, 2012 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Visitors will have full access to all facility amenities, including fitness classes and child supervision while a parent is on site.

During the RLT open house you’ll see firsthand why the facility is so popular with teens and adults. Inside there are basketball courts and volleyball courts, a fitness area with flat screen TVs, teen game room with video games, billiards table, table tennis, air hockey, recording studio, multi-purpose room and a commercial kitchen. The outside boasts an aquatic center with a swimming pool and colorful splash pad, basketball courts and sand volleyball court.

Five group fitness classes are now offered each week at RLT. From Zumba to yoga to hip-hop aerobics, there’s something for everyone’s fitness plan. Each fitness class is included in the price of a Full Pass.

Since opening in September 2011, the RLT staff has focused on developing and rolling out structured recreational programs. Basketball leagues for all ages are now underway. Also, youth camp will be offered this summer for children 6 to 12-years-old. Swim lessons for the entire family will be available as well.

RLT is available for private rentals, including birthday parties and anniversary celebrations. With a spacious room wired for audio and video presentations, RLT is a terrific option for an off-site business meeting.
